| Theres days when you kind of dont do anything... and then theres days where you Literally do not do ANNYthing. ...today was that kind of day.
Especially because i did not wake up until 6:30pm. Its a pretty rare occurance, but I can honestly say I did not see the sun today, I went to bed as it was slowly getting light outside, and I woke up just in time to walk outside and have a smoke as the sunset finished its course.
I should have gone to class today, and I should have studied more for that test I took yesterday, but this is how college goes. Odd thing is, overall, i care much more about bike polo than I do classes. I'm not sure why, because I'm not even that intense about bike polo, but i guess its been slowly growing on me. As time as wound on, i've become more and more attached to the sport. First off it intensifies your reflexes on a bike and after just a few times of playing you're already a much better bike rider than you were when you started. I've come to realize its a spectacular sport, especially to be involved in its hay-day as it is growing and being born. It allows you to travel, to go to large cities and know what your part of the country is really like. I absolutely love the fact that yes, i could travel to st. louis, or lexington, and see the sights and travel the city and see what its like, but thats all the touristy bullshit. In bike polo when I go to the cities, i see the real part of the cities, the shabby city parks, the chaotic neighborhoods, you meet real people from real parts of the city, and then you party like you lived there. Its an incredibly spectacular experience, and I'm ashamed I didn't get involved with more touring with the sport sooner than I did, because thats really what it's all about. As a bike polo side note, CT, i know you're one of the 4 people subscribed to my blog that still reads xanga, why the hell didn't you come to lafayette bike polo, yet you go to chicago when you move there? Contrary to popular consensus, it was fucking hard to start Lafayette Bike Polo and if not for Tyler H. I dont think it would have kept going, I know you have shit against me, but if you were interested in the sport you should've helped us out. (don't reply to this, its just something that has bothered me).
I really didn't realize it at all until this fall, but this sport has become an important part of my life, and when I realized that, I also realized that I really and truly want it to become an even bigger part of my life. Its extremely fun, you meet tons of spectacular characters, and it gives you an opportunity to travel the country (and beyond).
Cheers to friends, bike polo, and xanga entries written hella late after you get off work when dont know what your fingers are going to spew onto the keyboard.
